Why It Matters

Make The Holidays Count

School holidays are the best development window on the calendar — no club training to juggle, fresh legs, and time to work on the things that make the biggest difference: speed, skills and confidence.

Our clinics keep the footy fun rolling through the break. Athletes train with purpose, learn how and why athletes train, make new mates from clubs across the coast — and head back to term footy sharper, fitter and more confident.

Two weeks of momentum.
Inside A Session

Skills Meets Speed

Every clinic session combines AFL-specific skill work with the athletic qualities that underpin long-term performance — speed, agility and movement quality — built on Long-Term Athlete Development principles, so every athlete trains right for their stage of growth.

  • Speed, agility and running mechanics
  • Movement quality and coordination — coached properly at every age
  • AFL skill development — kicking, marking, ground balls, decision making
  • Game sense and decision making under fatigue
  • Athletes learn the why, not just the what

Where It Leads

The Lead-In To The TP AFL Academy

These clinics are the first look at how we develop footballers — and the direct lead-in to the True Performance AFL Academy, our term-time development program launching on the Gold Coast. Train with us these holidays, and if it clicks, the Academy is the next step.

Academy waitlist members get clinic discounts — and clinic athletes get first look at Academy spots.

The Environment

Good People First

Skills get built fast in the right environment — and ours starts with good people. Three things matter at every True Performance clinic:

Athletes from clubs across the Gold Coast at a True Performance holiday clinic

Respect

For coaches, teammates, the opposition and the game. It’s the standard before any drill starts.

Work Ethic

Bring effort — we’ll coach everything else. The kids who try are the kids who improve.

Attitude

Energy, coachability and a crack at everything. Attitude beats talent at every age.

FAQ

Good Questions

My child has never done structured training — are they ready?

Yes. Clinics are grouped by age and development, and every session is coached. Brand-new athletes are exactly who the Junior and Development groups are built for.

Can we book just one session?

Yes — clinics are booked per session (the Super Clinic is a single full day). Book one, or stack multiple sessions and clinics across the holidays.

Are there discounts?

Yes — Hub gym members, partner club athletes and AFL Academy waitlist members all receive clinic discounts. Ask us when booking.

What should they bring?

Footy boots and runners, training gear, a water bottle and a mouthguard. We handle the rest.

Is this just for kids already playing club footy?

No — clinics suit club players and kids who just love footy and want to get better. The environment is supportive, not cut-throat.

How does this fit with the AFL Academy?

Clinics run in the school holidays; the Academy runs through the term. The clinics are the lead-in — the best way to experience how we train before the Academy. Everything we run is built to support club footy and elite pathways, never replace them.

Spots Are Capped

Lock In Their Spot Before It’s Gone

Clinic numbers are capped so every athlete gets coached. When they’re full, they’re full.
